Our Goal: Use Ethics to Survive

EthicsforMedia was created to address the high demand for ethics education among journalists. At the same time, the economic crisis in 2008 affected the finances of media companies worldwide. So we decided to teach journalists J-Ethinomics: how reporting ethically can help them survive and prosper.

With media companies in crisis due to economic difficulties and the challenges of the digital age, EthicsforMedia teaches journalists how to build a solid public trust that will sustain the media industry.

  • By emphasizing ethics as a means to create public demand for news, EthicsforMedia provides an economic incentive for journalists and media companies to make ethics a priority.
  • EthicsforMedia makes ethics practical from a market perspective. We train journalists to apply ethical standards as a means of improving consumer demand for digital age media.
